KnoeDown is a meet put together by Counter Kultur and Junk Styles which represents all makes and models.  The event takes place at Knoebels Amusement Park in a small town called Elysburg, PA.  It’s a long but fun drive for us, traveling up Rt. 81 and through the mountains.  When we arrived at the park, I was surprised by the amount of cars already there.  I was expecting a smaller meet, but when we got there we saw that it definitely wasn’t.

If you have never been to Knoebels, the park is free admission and free parking.  You pay for the rides with tickets or you can buy a wristband that works for all the rides.  It’s situated in a valley between the mountains.  I’ve been going to Knoebels ever since I was a kid so when I saw that KnoeDown was going on, I had to travel up there.  The park has rides for all ages and the food is some of the best park food I have ever had.  Oh, and it’s way cheaper than corporate parks….  They have camping as well at the park, a pool which opens in the summertime, and many pavilions to hold group picnics.

Like I said, all makes and models were welcomed at the event.  Everything from Volkswagens to Subarus to Hondas were in attendance.  The organizers set up a cookout for the attendees provided by the park, which was either included in the price for showing your car or you could purchase when you got there. There was a small midway set up with a few vendors and a handful of VIP cars.

I had a great time attending KnoeDown because there was so much to do and the turnout was great.  The weather was perfect and sunny which made for a good time.  It was a great idea to have it at Knoebels because of the park.  Make sure you check out this event next season and bring the family! Head over to the GALLERY section for all the pictures.
